Forscot will make the following products at Invergordon:
- Sawn goods - intended to service the growing homebuilding and DIY markets in the UK, some 250,000
m3 pa
of sawn goods will be produced. This part of the project will be operated by a partner company and negotiations are under way to realise this
- Publication paper - magazines and advertising material are large consumers of publication grade paper with all European countries offering substantial markets. Forscot will manufacture over 400,000 tonnes pa of publication paper at full capacity and its main targets will be in Europe, including the UK, which currently imports around 90% of its needs for such paper
- Market pulp - Scottish grown Sitka spruce yields pulp of very high quality, which will be much sought after by a wide group of paper and tissue makers. Technically speaking, Forscot will produce, at full capacity, more than 0.5m tonnes pa of NBSK (northern bleached softwood kraft) and it will be the only manufacturer in Europe offering product on the open market in the highest quality band

Forscot will be entirely self sufficient in electricity and thermal energy (green electricity) . This will help the UK Government and Scottish Executive meet its targets on renewable energy generation to honour its commitment to the Kyoto Protocol
